OH. MY. Can I just.. I don't even.. I LOVE THIS GOSPEL. Like really I can't even explain.
So the other day, I'm talking to my friend Tessa, and she tells me she wishes she could be as nice as me.. LOL WUT. Am I being punk'd? Pretty sure no one's ever said that to me in my LIFE. I really did laugh when she said that.. but I had the impression to tell her that it was because I let God in, and take over my life.. Which sounds so lame to say to a non member, AMIRITE? Like Hi, my name's Molly Mormon. BUT.. I did it. I just prefaced it with an, "Ignore how silly this is going to sound but..." WORKS EVERY TIME. Listen to the Spirit kids. She then replied with a, "That wasn't silly! I admire your love of God and your testimony... That's why I read your blog because your dedication and love amaze me" Wait... say whaaaat?? THAT'S ALL I WANT. Love this gospel, and I want everyone to know it.
The other day I was going through one of my old social media sites, just scrolling through the things I had written and what not. H.O.L.Y. C.R.A.P. can you say teen angst? I think I took it to the next level haha. Really though. I was so angry, about everything. And rude, to everyone. And I'm pretty sure I used any excuse I could so that I could say that people didn't understand me or what I was going through.. SARAH SHUT UP AND STOP BEING SELFISH.
It is absolutely CRAZY to me that I've changed so much. SO much. And for the better. MIND=BLOWN
BUT ON A SERIOUS NOTE: in seminary my teacher said something that I really liked, something that I don't think we think about as often as we should. Our Heavenly Father KNOWS us. "We don't know how long we were up there with Him before we came here, He KNOWS us. He KNOWS our personalities." Let that just sink in for a minute, okay? Sometimes we don't understand why things happen to us.. Okay, so most of the time. BUT, just remember that He KNOWS us. Better than we know ourselves. He knows what we can handle, what we can't. What, and who, we need in our life, and what we don't. HE KNOWS WHAT HE'S DOING. TRUST IN HIM. Which is really the hardest thing ever.. But we need to do it. He is our FATHER. He is our DAD. He wants the best for you. He wants to see you succeed, and He knows that you can. HE HAS A PLAN FOR YOU. Just remember that, okay?
Talk to your Heavenly Father. Talk to Him a lot. Like.. a lot, a lot. One of Savannah's favorite quotes is, "Have you prayed about it as much as you've talked about it?" Let Heavenly Father and the Savior into your life. Let your life be guided by the Holy Spirit. THEY WANT TO BE INVOLVED. And if you let Them.. Man, oh man, is it beautiful.
Something I've noticed recently that I'd never really thought about before.. is how much everyone is trying to compare hardships with one another. "You don't know what I've been through" "You just don't understand me", ya know, all that good stuff. And don't get me wrong.. I'm definitely guilty of saying those things, BUT.. why? Why do we have to do that? Everyone's been through some rough things. Every single one of us.. BUT, instead of complaining about them, and throwing them in the faces of others.. Why don't we realize how much good we have in our lives, and use that to go help someone improve theirs? I'm telling you right now.. It's amazing. Let God into your life. Build a relationship with Him and with your Savior, and always be willing to help someone feel their love.
I HAVE A TESTIMONY. And it keeps getting stronger and stronger every day as I work at it. WORK AT IT. This gospel is a lot of work, sorry for bursting your bubble if you didn't already know that.. but the rewards that come from living this gospel are unexplainable. I know that this is the one and only complete and true church on the face of the earth. I know that the Book of Mormon is the word of God, because I've read it, and I've prayed about it. "People died for this book, you have it. READ IT." (and if you don't have it.. I can sure get ya one!) I know that I have a Savior, Jesus Christ, who died for me, and for all of you. I know that through Him, all things are possible. I know that there is a God, and I know that He has an individual plan for each and every one of us. I know these things, because I have learned them for myself. I have put them to the test. And I challenge all of you to do the same. Because there is no way, if you put all of your effort into it, that you will find that these things are not true. God answers prayers, in HIS way, in HIS time, but He answers. He IS there. This church IS true. Jesus IS the Christ. HE LIVES.
"You have more faith than you think you do."
"If you don't have a strong testimony now, GET ONE."
If you are wavering on your faith, lean on mine. I love each and every one of you. And I say these things in the sacred name of Jesus Christ, amen.
