Hey, I'm Sas: BEST DAY EVER

UGHH. I have been trying to finish this thing for the last week and I just haven't done it. SO much has been going on.

SO.. Could last Saturday have been any more great? NO. It could not have!!!!

The best part is, it started out as the worst day ever.

So here's the deal. April 27th was the Utah High School ASL competition. Woo! Which means, a COMPLETE NO VOICE DAY!(:(: I love it. And this year, we were the host school. So my teacher, the best lady ever, has been SUPER stressed out! So I showed up at school yesterday around 7AM to help her set up stuff for the competition. So she told this other girl and I to go find the tables that the district had dropped off and set them up under each poster. Easy enough, right? Until we discover that THERE ARE NO TABLES. Say whaaaaaat?? So we don't want to break the news to Tolley because she's already freaking out.. The poor lady. Love her to death. But of course we have to tell her, so she's just like, "Ya know what, we don't have time for this. Just start taking the tables from my room." So we have to move EVERYTHING. Her room was seriously a WRECK. I felt awful. But, what were we supposed to do?? So then alllllll the other schools start showing up. And I'm frantically looking through all of the papers so I can find mine. AND IT IS NO WHERE TO BE FOUND. And I'm trying to keep my cool so 350 people don't see me lose it. So I go find Tolley and she tells me that it doesn't matter, I don't need my papers. UH, WHAT?? So I was just like, okay whatever. Still trying to not freak out. Then I look over and see that no one from my school is being in charge of the table with everyone's phone numbers, which Tolley was SO stressed about because she didn't want anyone taking personal information. I was kinda ticked that no one was there. Like, are you kidding me?? So then I go over there and this girl comes up to me. (She was my twin. So freaky!!) And then come to find out she's a teacher at a different school and she has a problem with one of her student's papers, and she wants me to fix it. WHAT?? Uh......... Think fast! So I told her that I would figure out what was going on. And she was so sweet she said she'd watch the table for me. She was seriously so nice!! So then I'm running around the school trying to find someone who actually knows what they're doing and can fix this poor girl's paper. So finally we get that all figured out, and I take it back to her.

COMPETITION TIME. Tolley comes around shooing us to go to our different events. Bless her heart. She was seriously having a cow all day. KISS FIST HER. So I'm over standing in line for receptive. And I swear we were out in the hall for like 20 minutes.. And our judge comes out and says she's sorry but the DVD player isn't working. Could anything else go wrong this morning? And, on top of that, my feet hurt already.. YES.

So we finally get in there, and we watch these 4 different videos and answer questions about them. After that they graded our stuff and sent us off. I thought I did really well actually! But I didn't think I did my best. There were a few things that I wasn't too sure about.

FAAAAAAAAAAST FORWARD to the award ceremony!! (The rest is boring I promise)

My friend Jenn and I are sitting near the front of the auditorium and we have to wait for all the other prizes to be announced. I'm seriously sitting there FREAKING OUT.

Ugh. I wanted to win SO SO SO bad, not even win. Just place and get a medal. So we get to my event and I thought I was going to die. He announces third, and it wasn't me. He announces second, and it wasn't me again. THAT, my friends, is when I really started freaking out. I started accepting that I didn't win. Because I really didn't think I won first. Like.. I'm good, but I'm not that good, ya know? So I'm sitting there, kinda disappointed. And then he goes to announce first place, and he SPELLS MY NAME!!!! OHHHHH MYYYYYYYYY. I seriously almost screamed!!!!!!!

KATIE LECLERC!! (aka Daphne on Switched at Birth) (aka the nicest person I've ever met) One of the MANY perks of having her sister as a teacher!!! SHS>>> Seriously can't get enough of this gal!! She's too sweet.

SO, I was on freaking CLOUD 9 after ASL comp(: So I went babysitting that night, whatever. No big deal. So then it's like... 11:30 at night, and I hear this knock on my door. And in the pit of my stomach I knew I was being asked to prom, but then at the same time, who would ask me??? So my mom goes out and opens up the door, grabs the mail, and comes back in. And I was like okayyyyy, maybe I'm just crazy or...? So I go back in my room and I see out my window my friend Mitchell getting into his car across the street. Conveniently parked in the same place Bubba parked for WAMA... Hmmmmmm. So I go back out and I'm like, "Mom, are you SURE there wasn't anything on the porch??" So we go back out and lo and behold-- THERE WAS A BUNCH OF CRAP ON MY PORCH. I think it's safe to say that my mom is friggin' BLIND.

WHAT A GREAT DAY TO END THE BEST DAY EVER!!(:(:
